STORE POLICIES
Due to the nature of special occasion merchandise, we DO NOT accept any returns, exchanges, credits, or refunds on ANY items purchased in the boutique. All sales are FINAL. Please make sure you are satisfied with your dress/items before purchasing and inspect any merchandise thoroughly before your final decision. We carefully inspect ALL our merchandise before it hits the floor, please let us know if we may have missed something. If you need more time, we can hold items for 2 (two) days ONLY especially for Prom, Bridal, Homecoming/Short formals.
We are a local, family-owned small business, specialty boutique, not a department store. We DO NOT do ANY type of consignment, dress buying OR dress trades from any person who buys dresses from other boutiques. It does not matter if the dress is brand new with tags. This is NOT the type of business we are in. We only sell BRAND NEW dresses that we order from straight from the designers/manufacturers we sell. We DO NOT do ANY type of dress rentals. All dresses are BRAND NEW FOR SALE ONLY!
Please note that the prices on our dresses reflect the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The designers that we represent DO NOT allow their collections to be displayed on a website for a lower price than the MSRP price that you see on our dresses. If you see a lower price on any other website for the exact style from the same designer, then you can know for certain that website is producing and selling counterfeit dresses or gowns of inferior quality and shipping them as originals. Another authorized retailer may have a similar dress for sale, but each authorized retailer may have a certain criterion for their sale. For this reason, we do not match the price.
All merchandise in catalogs is subject to availability. We can check stock to see what is available in your size and color. Inventory changes every day, and not all dresses are guaranteed to be in stock. Any dress ordered from the manufacturer CANNOT be returned, refunded, or cancelled. A deposit of 40% is required to special order a dress.
Layaway is available for all in stock dresses in store. There is no layaway fee or interest. The dress MUST be picked up and paid for in full within 60 (sixty) days of the original day it was placed on layaway. There is a 30% initial deposit (of original dress price) when you put a dress on layaway. If the 60 days pass and the item is in our possession with no additional payments or contact, made since the initial payment, it will be put back on the floor and the deposit WILL BE forfeited.
Almost every dress will require alterations to get your perfect fit. Dresses are made to a standard measurement, based on the manufacturer’s size chart, then once bought, can be altered to fit you. It is suggested to choose the largest size based on your measurement of the size chart. Dresses can almost always be taken in but letting dresses out is never as easy. Always remember that alterations, especially a hem and taking up straps are to be expected, and be aware that sizes are US, and ordering from outside the US may run differently.
Alterations are NOT available in store, but Elina Events does recommend various local seamstresses in town, or you can choose your own. We are NOT responsible for the work an alteration shop does on a dress.
We cannot control duplicate dresses sold by other retailers, but any dress sold here at Elina Events WILL BE registered. We will not knowingly sell the same style in the same color to the same school event.
